Mary Schoen PetersenI have been involved with FIRST teams since 2008, and with FRC Team 4096: Ctrl-Z since 2011. While I have a M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences, I am currently a professional volunteer.
I enjoy helping out activities that my children are involved in, because I get to know the kids they are with, and their parents. However, my son, Nathan, on the team from 2011-2015, is now in college and I'm still helping. I think it's totally awesome that students in 8th - 12th grade in Champaign County have the opportunity to be a part of this FIRST team! It's such a great learning experience, in so many ways. It's my passion to make sure this opportunity continues.
